Barbara Brylska, born on June 5, 1941, in Skotniki, Poland, is a Polish actress known for her role as Nadia Sheveleva in the 1975 film Irony of Fate, which brought her fame in the USSR and Russia. She began her career in 1956 with Galoshes of Happiness and gained recognition in Poland with her role in Pharaoh (1966). Brylska also appeared in Anatomy of Love (1972) and Down House (2001), and received the USSR State Prize for her work in Irony of Fate.
She was married three times and had two children, including a daughter who died in an accident in 1993, after which Brylska reduced her acting activities. Between 2008 and 2009, she served as a judge on the television shows Two Stars and People's Star. Brylska remains active by sharing her memories on social media.
