Yulia Snigir, born June 2, 1983, in Donskoy, Tula Oblast, is a Russian actress and model. Raised in a family with a chess coach father, she became a candidate master in chess. She graduated from Moscow Pedagogical State University in English Philology and the Shchukin Theater School. Snigir debuted in film with The Last Mine (2006) and gained recognition for her role as Rada Gaal in The Inhabited Island (2008–2009). Her international work includes the Hollywood film Tough Nut (2013) and roles in series such as The Great (2015), The New Pope (2020), and The Master and Margarita (2024). She received the Russian Federation Government Award in 2018.
Yulia Snigir is in a relationship with actor Evgeny Tsyganov, and they have a son born in 2016. She actively shares her creative projects on Instagram.
