Linda Cardellini, born June 25, 1975, in Mount Prospect, Illinois, is an American actress known for her work in film, television, and voice acting. She began her career in 1997 and gained recognition for her role as Sam Taggart on the series ER (1998–2003). Cardellini appeared in notable films such as Silver Linings Playbook (2012), Gravity (2013), and Green Book (2018), earning an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for the latter. From 2019 to 2022, she portrayed Laura Barton in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Avengers: Endgame and the TV series Hawkeye.
