Tinatin Georgievna Kandelaki was born on November 10, 1975, in Tbilisi. Her father, Givi Shalvovich Kandelaki (1942–2009), was an economist from a Georgian family of Greek origin, and her mother, Elvira Georgievna Kandelaki (née Alaverdyan), is an Armenian narcologist. She studied journalism at Tbilisi State University and began her career in Russia. Since 2002, she has been known for hosting the program "Nedelya" on REN-TV, later working for NTV, Match TV as general producer, and Channel One. In 2010, she launched the radio station "Silver Rain," and in 2022, she became head of Gazprom-Media Holding.
Kandelaki is noted for her direct communication style and controversial statements. She is married to Alexander Mamut since 2019 and has three children, two from her first marriage with Andrey Nazarov and one with Mamut. She actively manages a Telegram channel covering politics, sports, and personal topics. Her background includes Georgian and Armenian heritage, and she stands 167 cm tall.
