Chantel VanSanten, born on July 21, 1985, in Luton, Florida, is an American actress and model of Dutch descent. Fluent in Dutch, she began her career as a teenage model and made her film debut in 2004. VanSanten gained recognition for her role as Karina in the 2005 series The O.C., followed by appearances in Heroes, Breaking Bad (season 2), Pretty Little Liars, and Arrow. Her most notable role was as Julie in the science fiction series Dark Matter (2015–2017), where she played the lead character.
