Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, born on 7 November 1989 in Norilsk, is an activist, feminist, and member of the punk band Pussy Riot. After enrolling at Moscow State University, she co-founded an art group that evolved into the music band. Pussy Riot gained international attention following their provocative actions, including a performance in Christ the Saviour Cathedral, which resulted in Tolokonnikova's arrest and imprisonment.
Despite legal consequences, Tolokonnikova continues her activism through social media platforms such as Instagram, VK, and X. Her public presence remains significant, drawing both support and controversy.
